A Totalitarian dilemma an analysis of question 6 in the special barometer April 2020 by the spanish sociological research centre
Abstract
In this paper we go into question number 6 of April 2020 Special Barometer of the Spanish
Sociological Research Centre, which was the subject, at the time of its publication, of serious
criticism and provoked a highly wide debate in Spanish society.
Through textual analysis, it is intended to clarify the real content of that question,
noticing in it serious failures of logical construction whose aim seems to be causing a foreseen
response in the interviewees and that are part and parcel of a background concept of
totalitarian nature.
