Abstract
The Espasa Encyclopaedia is widely recognised to have constituted a significant attempt at synthesizing world culture and science from a Spanish perspective in the period 1905-1934. This paper aims at contributing to the study of the origins and early development of Information Science in Spain, by selecting relevant entries and looking at their authors, the methodology employed. The documentary fields looked at include Archive Science, Bibliography, Bibliophilia, Library Science, Information Science and Museology.Downloads
