Abstract

In this paper, I will provide a critical assessment of the papers read at the I Seminario Hispano-Italiano de Bibliografía (Spanish-Italian Conference on Bibliography), organised by the Department of Library and Information Science of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. These papers attempt to provide an overview of the state of teaching and research in the field of Bibliography in Italy and Spain. The conference also contributed to the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the High School of Diplomatics (1856-1906).
