Abstract

The going digital of the TV Channels productions creates impending prospects of change in their Audiovisual Documentation Services. To the present problems posed by the document selection and preservation, the scarcity of both human and material resources an the almost non – existent possibilities of proper training for the specialized professionals, we must add the challenge which creates the digitalization for these information units and for the professionals working with them, who should obtain a new knowledge and (should) develop new aptitudes in a relatively short term, if they want to face up successfully the change of the professional role, which they will have to carry out in this new environment.
