La lectura en el contexto de la historia socio cultural. Métodos y fuentes
Abstract
The author analyses chronologically the changes in the work of cultural historians, both in the topics they deal with (literacy, reading) and, especially, in the methods they employ (quantitative / qualitative orientation – elite / popular culture). It is proposed that the beginnings of a history of who reads, what is read, how is read and why are some texts read over others owes much to will of integration of all social agents. The aim, ultimately, must be to produce a cultural history not of a city but in a city.Downloads
