Historical analysis of the integration and enhancement of photographic heritage in Spanish cultural institutions
Abstract
This article reflects on the challenges and advancements in the management and recognition of photography in Spanish culture, as well as the importance of digitalization and the creation of institutions dedicated to photography. For this purpose, a historical-theoretical study is conducted on the integration and enhancement of photographic heritage in Spanish cultural institutions. Based on a literature review, the incorporation and consolidation of Spanish photography in cultural institutions are analysed and projects for the digitalisation of national photographic collections are identified.
