Abstract
The Scientific Culture Unit of the University of Burgos (UBU) launched, in 2016, a scientific dissemination television program on the television channel "La 8 Burgos", and on the channel La 7 Castilla y León, from regional level. The program called “Cien&Cía” has a primary mission, which is the dissemination of scientific research carried out at the University of Burgos. The growth of the program and an important vision of the future have made this television space have more collaborators on a national level, sections and content that also deal with scientific issues that overcome the barrier of research at the University of Burgos. The dissemination strategy of this program, which has been maintained since its premiere, is not only the television broadcast but also the promotion of its content on YouTube through the channel La 8 Burgos and TVUBU, television of the University of Burgos, but also also through information located on other social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. Not only the television broadcast has had the support of the audience; The social network audiences have also followed the broadcasts of each of the programs and have actively commented on the contents. In this last season whose broadcasts ended in July 2022, short YouTube videos have been included, as we will see below, they have also been well received by the digital public.
