The television what reflection of culture in the last years of the Francoism: analysis of literatura and its authors in the documentary series Biografía (TVE, 1967-1973)
Abstract
The objective of this research is to analyze literatura and especially the various writers present in the documentary series Biografía, broadcast by Televisión Española between 1967 and 1973. The result provides a holistic view of television as a reflection of culture in a specific period: the last years of the Francoism, through the broadcast of 16 chapters dedicated to synthesizing the life and work of writers who stood out in their professional careers in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is shown that Biografía presented a masculine world of internationally recognized intellectuals and that it innovated the documentary by contributing elements of television, such as the gathering.
