Advertising activity at La Esfera Magazine (1914-1931). A study section
Abstract
This article offers an introduction about illustrated advertising which was published in the last half of the 19th century in the Spanish press and the results of a quantitative study of advertising volume by sectors in the illustrated magazine La Esfera throughout their seventeen years career (1914-1931). The study was carried out through the analysis of all advertisements which were published in the magazine. Among the results obtained it’s worth to highlight that the greatest number of advertisements are of the publishing, the pharmaceutical and perfumery sectors.
