The memory of the International Brigades through the legacy gathered by the Friends of the International Brigades Association
Abstract
In this paper we distinguish between the importance of the written memory and oral tradition in historical documentation, through the legacy of the International Brigades who fought in the Spanish Civil War. This is an important legacy that the Friends of the International Brigades Association has been collecting for eighteen years by private donations, visits to the different countries Archives, and the oral tradition recordings carried out to the members of the International Brigades.Downloads
