El derecho de ciudadanía del enfermo mental, un desafío al Sistema para la Autonomía y la Atención a la Dependencia
Abstract
The «Law for the Promotion of Personal Independence and Care of Persons in a Dependent Situation» guarantees the subjective social right of access to the care system it establishes. Severe mental illness specifically handicaps the development of activities of daily living. The real effectiveness of the right acquired by the mentally ill in a dependent situation lies in the adjustment of the System for Independence and Care of Persons in a Dependent Situation to their needs. Reflection on the concept of mental illness and the concept of care can shed some light on the current institutionalization of the social invisibility of the . mentally ill and can guide decision-making towards a model of psychosocial support for persons who are in a dependent situation due to a mental illness.Downloads
