La globalización según Bourdieu
Abstract
One of the questions more often dealt with in Social Studies in recent years is globalization. The world has undergone a radical change in all the different arenas in which it performs; following the fall of soviet regime, politics, the economy and society in general have become globalized. The prosperity displayed in economic, financial, political, journalistic and intellectual fields, and which is accepted on al worldwide scale, is clashing head-on with the progressive impoverishment of the vast majority of the world’s population. The purpose of this text is to try to recover and condense the research done on the symbolic power of discourse in praise of global society, carried out by one of the most important exponents of critical thought regarding globalization: Pierce Bourdieu.Downloads
