Las políticas de igualdad en el ámbito Municipal. The policies of equality in the municipal arena

Abstract

In this work, the authors analyse the evolution of municipal services from a gender perspective and the political agenda from two viewpoints: labor market and gender violence. They also include from the same perspective the citizens’ response to the municipal social welfare initiatives. They state the fact the policies of equality in the municipal arena are a reflection of what is carried out in the European and international context, which translates into an important improvement for women. They conclude, however, that despite significant achievements, there is still much to be done.
