Contributions of community social services to the decentralised management of long-term care: the case of Andalusia (Spain)
Abstract
The aim of this article is to demonstrate the advantages and drawbacks of decentralised management, under the Law on Promotion of Personal Autonomy and Care for Persons in Situations of Dependency (Ley de Promoción de la Autonomía Personal y Atención a la Personas en Situación de Dependencia), by community social services run by local authorities in the various Spanish regions. In order to do so, we reviewed the relevant works carried out to validate these contributions for the case of the Andalusian region and specifically for community social services from the province of Huelva, subsequently and by means of a semi-structured survey aimed at social workers who manage dependency.Downloads
