Abstract

The objective of this work is to analyse the latest international research carried out in social work according to the works published in journals from the field. This analysis is based on the internationally renowned literature databases published by Thomson Reuters, Web of Science and Journal Citation Reports. To perform the analysis, we used Web of Science to obtain all the works published in indexed international journals in the social work category of the Journal Citation Report between 2010 and 2015. We then used scientific mapping techniques to analyse the content of the works and identify the main, emerging, declining and peripheral research themes.
