Abstract

The present article analyzes the “Lezioni di commercio”, an economic treatise that had a great international diffusion in the 18th century and influenced the formation of the Spanish economists during Charles III reign. The collation between the original work and the 1960 Villava’s translation throws a light on the difficulties in the handling of the economic terminology and the problems of an ideological order faced by the author.

On analyse dans le présent article les “Lezioni di commercio”, traité économique qui a eu une grande diffusion internationale dans le XVIIIème siècle et qui a influencé la formation des économistes espagnols pendant le règne de Charles III. La collation entre l’oeuvre originale et la traduction qui en 1960 a effectué Villava dévoile les difficultés dans le maniement de la terminologie économique et les problèmes d’ordre idéologique auxquels a fait face l’auteur.

Untersucht werden die “Lezioni di commercio”, eine Abhandlung über die Wirtschaft, die eine weite internationale Verbreitung im 18. Jahrhundert hatte und die die Ausbildung der spanischen Ökonomen zur Zeit der Herrschaft Karls III. beeinflusste. Der Schriftvergleich zwischen dem Originalwerk und der Übersetzung, die Villava 1960 fertigte, enthüllt die Probleme der Handhabung der Terminologie der Wirtschaftsfachsprache und der ideologischen Ordnung, der der Autor gegenüber stand.
