Abstract
The attribution to Macanaz of the Legal and Historical Explanation of the consultation given by the Royal Council of Castile, one of the most important texts about this institution, left in the background the figure of Salazar y Castro, who was, with all probability, its true author. After the writing of this opuscule we found the Spanish nobility led by Medinaceli, when in 1709 it offered its frank support to Felipe V, once Louis XIV was decided to leave him when confronted to the exigencies of the Allies, that imposed it like a previous step to the achievement of the peace between the countries.Downloads
