Abstract

The present investigation has as its object of study the analysis of a small sample of civil and criminal lawsuits and testamentary dispositions made through the 16th century in a very concrete zone of the New Spain: the province of Tlaxcala. With a special focus on the organization of the administration of justice in this province.
