El marco normativo de la carrera civil de Ultramar (1852-1899)
Abstract
The legal regulation of the civil servants in Overseas State Administration continued into the second half of the XIXth century to set standards for the peninsular civil servants. The state of Overseas civil servants underwent political changes of the Metropolis and these alterations filtered down to those territories. The legal regime was object of successive general arrangements: 1860, 1863, 1866, 1876, 1890, amongst others. The main problems were centred on: the integration of the native population in inferior categories and classes, the establishment of extra payments for the remuneration of the civil servants sent there as well as deposit mechanism and promotion and suspension within the Administration, which were varying in agreement with the criteria and interests of the Governments of Madrid.Downloads
