The College of Civil and Canon Law at the University of Orihuela in the Seventeenth Century
Abstract
This article deals with the Faculty of Laws and Canons of the University of Orihuela in the 17th century, an institution which has not yet been studied exhaustively. Our goal is to better understand the circumstances of its creation, who were its teachers and students. The professors and graduates lists have been reconstituted from the University’s Degrees and Agreements Books.
