The regents of the bourbon royal Audience of Majorca (1716-1808)
Abstract
The article studies the regents of the Royal Court of the Kingdom of Mallorca from the Nueva Planta decree to the War of Independence (1808). After analyzing the nature and powers of the office, we study the origin of these judges, their academic training, administrative career, social origin and other aspects that allow to draw a portrait of them. After that, the biography of each one of them is collected.
