The Absolutist Refutation of Navarre Pactist Discourse: José María Zuaznávar y Francia and his Ensayo histórico-crítico sobre la legislación de Navarra
Abstract
During the modern age, the pactist discourse had a direct impact on the own monarchy, limiting its royal sovereignty, therefore having to share this power with the Cortes and the Diputación. Starting from this premise, we will study José María de Zuaznávar y Francia’s Ensayo histórico-crítico sobre la legislación de Navarra. This work initially had two editions; we will analyse these editions, dealing with the Kingdom of Navarre’s history, institutions, society and law, using iusnaturalism classic tenets.Downloads
