"The Solipsistic Stone". Notes on Alfonso García-Gallo’s Visigothic Research
Abstract
In this paper we aim to analyse the state of the art of Visigothic research, comparing it with the one made by Professor Alfonso García-Gallo. Three main areas are to be considered: a. the issue of land sharing between Goths and Romans; b. the category called ‘Germanic law’ and c. the history of Visigothic legislation. Zeumer’s point of view on the main interpretative hypothesis will also be reviewed.Downloads
