Alfonso García-Gallo: Methodological and Conceptual Contributions to Legal History
Abstract
From a methodological point of view, one of Alfonso García-Gallo’s main contributions to Legal History was the introduction of a new approach, imported from France, which has been called the “institutional method”. From 1952-1953, most of the legal historians adscribed to such guidance. What did it mean this new approach with regard to the previous ones, methodologically speaking? Was it a real scientific revolution? What were their weaknesses? This paper aims to provide some answers to these questions.Downloads
