La conciliación de la vida laboral y familiar en el marco jurídico actual
Abstract
This article presents the various measures provided for in our legal system regarding work life balance in a systematised fashion, as contrasted with those in European Union legislation. Ten general preliminary questions are posed as the keys in which, in the author’s view, reflections on this topic should be made. For instance, attention is drawn to the lack of definition of career and ‘family’ models, both leading to the scenario of disorientation in which legislation has been made in our country. Another issue examined is the role of our current legal system in reproducing the attribution of roles to men and women in their careers. One of the chapters of the article is devoted to collective bargaining, which, while containing significant differences between agreement and another, plas a paramount role in responding to social demands to facilitate work family balance and eliminate situations of discrimination towards women.Downloads
