The praying or dancing scenes during the Iron Age from the Iberian Peninsula: about a San Pedro II ware from Alarcos (Ciudad Real)
Abstract
In this paper, I study the Praying Scenes from the Iberian Peninsula during the Iron Age because of a pottery San Pedro II found in Alarcos (Poblete-Ciudad Real, Ciudad Real). It´s the only scene of this type because the Praying Scenes were unusual during this time. I study the similar motifs in another cultures and in the iberian cultures, but I also consider the symbolism and their religious conceptions. Probably, the Praying Scenes relate with Death and the Life Cycle owing to the Iron Age iconography´s. I include DRX and C14 analytical to know its origin and chronology of this pottey.
