Violencia de los espectadores en el deporte griego antiguo
Abstract
The essay furnishes a compilation and study of the information we know from ancient authors about violent behaviours of spectators in ancient Greek athletics. Some texts, above all from the Imperial period, speak to us about very violent incidents in Greek racecourses; on the contrary, news we have about violent acts performed by spectators in Greek stadia are very scarce. We analyse possible reasons to explain this scarce violence from the spectators in the stadia of ancient Greece.Downloads
