Antigone, Medeia and Lysistrata: three women with a lot of ‘ego’. A curiosity about the position of ἐγώ in the iambic trimeter of Greek theater
Abstract
After an overview of the presence of the pronoun ἐγώ in the iambic trimeter of Greek theater, we analyze its distribution by characters in Antigone, Medea and Lysistrata to try to discover similarities and differences.
