Abstract

Peripétia and anagnorisis are two key concepts in Aristotle Poetics. By means of this study, we will demonstrate that they are also basic concepts for narrative film because its relevance is present in the structure of the stories in the big screen.
Through the creation of a specific methodological tool that addresses the internal organization of the screenplay, we will place the peripétia and anagnorisis within this structure in several films over several decades in the Cinema History.
