Indicators to verify expressions of participation in the television production
Abstract
The study of the participation in the local television production contemplates the actions that are carried out as part of the process and the conditions that affect the realization of the activity. In the producer-audience relationship, asymmetries are sustained based on the condition of the subjects in the performance of the activity. Verticalism in television production encourages programming with practices isolated from the interests of the public agenda. The objectives of the study were: 1) to establish the indicators to verify participation in television production, 2) to validate the proposed indicators based on a case study in the television production of the public good spot on the local channel Centro Norte Televisión of Caibarién, Cuba. The study classifies as descriptive with methodological contribution. For the obtaining methods were used at the theoretical and empirical levels. The technique of reviewing documents to achieve the objective of the research was highlighted. Sometimes research in communication is limited to studies of audiences or content analysis, but does not generate global research that includes the conditions that affect the productive dynamics of the local media. The theme of participation in the media and especially in local television, is of great importance for studies in the field of communication sociology.
