Recovery of damaged film material techniques: an updated review

Abstract

This work is a review of the treatments that are being use today over deteriorated film materials, to be able to transport them through printers and scanners, in order to recover the information that they contains. Despite new technology has minimized the need for this treatments, cost are still high so they can not be neglected. Treatment information is completed with drawbacks and experiences from professional technicians.
