The crack of system: Hölderlin between Schelling and Deleuze
Abstract
The aim of this article is to create an open, albeit indirect, dialogue between the thought of G. Deleuze and that of Schelling as well as that of Hölderlin, via Deleuze’s syntheses of time. From the point of view of contemporary studies we establish that Deleuze’s philosophy is heir to the idealism of Schelling, or, rather, to the breach in the schellingian edifice. We also show, however, that without Hölderlin is not possible neither the breach in the system of Schelling nor the opening to the to-come. To-come is the name which Deleuze call the third synthesis of time or the space of the virtual, the possibility of something new: the Event.Downloads
