La revivificación del sufismo: paralelismos entre Ibn ʿArabī y el šayj al-ʿAlawī

Resumen
En este artículo abordamos tres aspectos comunes de dos figuras trascendentales del sufismo: Muḥyiddīn Ibn al- ʿArabī (m. 1240) y šayj Aḥmad al- ʿAlawī (m. 1933). A pesar de su distancia en el tiempo, ambos maestros espirituales presentan tres elementos comunes: La importancia para ambos de la figura y las enseñanzas de Abū Madyan (m. 1198), como vínculo entre el pensamiento akbarí y la corriente espiritual šādiliyya posterior, cuyo exponente más contemporáneo es el šayj al- ʿAlāwī; el papel del santo (walī) como heredero de la función profética e intermediario verídico y autorizado; y la hermenéutica espiritual como un ente vivo y experiencial, afirmación que entronca incluso con la lectura e interpretación del texto; y la vocación universal de sus enseñanzas.
Ambos autores cumplen la función de revitalizadores de la tradición espiritual islámica oriental y occidental, como representantes de unas enseñanzas frescas, orgánicas y actuales para cada tiempo y lugar.
