Required Personal Qualities for the Practice of Arbitration in Muslim Countries
Abstract
This paper begins analyzing the characteristics and sources of Islamic law. It goes on to study the practice of arbitration in the Muslim world and the influence of gender and religion in the competence of the arbitrator, which varies according to the interpretative doctrine of the Shari'a that is used. Finally, the disqualification of the arbitrator and its treatment in the Muslim world is analyzed.Downloads
