Habices from muslim religious centers of Acequias village (Granada) in 1502
Abstract
This study deals with the habices (land bequeathed to the mosque by pious members of the community) of Acequias, located at the Lecrin Valley (Granada). Through news of these goods from surveyors and connoisseurs we can get to know how the nature of the religious centers of the different districts from this region. The Moslem mosque turned into a church by the Christians is mentioned in this article. There is evidence of urban and rustic properties donated by Muslims to cover the expenses of the alfaquíes and religious economy and Muslim society from this particular region of the kingdom of Granada.Downloads
