Abstract
This paper analyzes certain themes from the Eastern Christian tradition in the Literature of Islamic Tradition that reached the Spanish Moorish through their translations into Aljamiado romance. This is the case of the Aljamiado tale of Noah, in which there are traces of anthroponymical patterns that can only be recognized in texts of early Christian Tradition in Syriac and Arabic. An analysis of isnād or chain of transmission preserved in the Aljamiado adaptation from the assumed Arabic original allows us to know the social and historical context from which it could obtain the Christian influence present in this Moorish romance tale from the 16th century.Downloads
