Un dato inédito sobre la sequía en la toponimia andalusí.
Abstract
The "presence" of water in every ambits of andalusian life and culture especially with reference to hidrography, agriculture and toponomy- has been in the past a constant subject of study and research by the most eminent arabists (hispanics and foreigners). The place name ATAIX appears in old chronicles and maps to design at the least a little ridge of mountains that divides the rivers Anoia and Llobregat (Martorell, Lower Llobregat, Catalonia) and also a rambla crossing the present municipalities of Liria, Cocentaina and Casinos, in the late Valencian kingdom, with the meaning of "drought". Thus now is opened a new way of investigation on the "absence" of water in Alandalús.Downloads
