'The Pascual Duarte’s family' and 'The Collar and the Bracelet' : a parallel reading between the Spanish novel and the Egyptian
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyze and compare the novels of two famous writers in their literature, both Egyptian and Spanish. Whose objective is to bring Arab reality closer to the Spanish reality. The motivation of this study are very similar features in the two novels, such as the tragic elements of honor and violent crime in a rural and common space where the two literary works are set. Also for the style that characterizes Camilo José Cela and Yahya al-Taher Abdallah who offer us in their novels object of study.
