The image of Antequera as a frontier in the Andalusi texts
Abstract
Antequera in the Middle Ages has been object of attention for researchers of several disciplines (Medievalists, Arabic culture experts, Archaeologists) who has emphasised its importance in different moments of the Andalusi and post-Andalusi history. It’s particularly to highlight the facts about 1410 when the Infante don Fernando conquered the place for Castile crown. Since this moment Antequera was placed in the frontier along 15th century. By a diverse repertoire of Andalusi texts, this paper emphasises the frontier image given by the texts about Antequera along its Andalusi history, further the specific period of real Castilian-Grenadian frontier.Downloads
