Abstract

This article presents a new version of various texts included in al-Mann bi-l-Imāma by Ibn Ṣāḥib al- Ṣalāt. The selected texts have been analyzed from different perspectives: the carefully-run propaganda program set in motion by the Almohads and the subtle use of literary resources by the author as well as the impact on the landscape which the design of the new capital must have implied and some of whose symbolic and emblematic values survive to this day.
