Abstract
In this paper we classify the cloth appliqués from al-Andalus which are described in the bibliographical references within a typological framework based on their technical and decorative features. As a result, we get eight types that total 96 pieces including the new appliqué which is described below from Arraijanal site located in La Cala de Mijas (Mijas-Costa, Malaga). Most of them belong to the Caliphate period.
