Transatlantic Women: Latin American Women Poets in Spain Today. Cristina Peri Rossi, Ana Becciu, Isel Rivero
Abstract
This work reflects on the condition transplanted in literature and poetry, taking as referente point the Latin American poets who today live and write in Spanish, and in particular, three relevant figures: Cristina Peri Rossi, Ana Becciu and Isel Rivero. We discuss about concepts such as language, nation, identity, based on three lines of approach to the theme: the Latin American poets who are writing today in Spain, the genealogy of Latin American women poets transplanted to Spanish which starts with Gertrudis Gómez de Avellaneda, and text analysis of the women poets studied.Downloads
