Sleep storying as a self-fulfilling strategy for recovering from the family past. The case of 'children's literature
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to analyse the dream narratives that appear quite frequently in three Argentinian works published in the last decades and belonging to the so-called “Sons’ literature”: 76 by Félix Bruzzone, El espíritu de mis padres sigue subiendo en la lluvia by Patricio Pron and Diario de una princesa montonera, 110% verdad by Mariana Eva Perez. After a brief generic description that will allow us to qualify these works as autofictional filiation writings, we will discuss the diverse functions that these dream accounts can play in the delicate reclaiming of family memory that these authors/narrators attempt to achieve despite the trauma they have gone through.
