The novel of the Mexican Revolution and the popular songbook: confluences
Abstract
This article examines the relationships between the novel of the Mexican Revolution from the twenties to the fourties and popular music. Firstly, it reviews the correspondences between these narratives and the ballad form known as corrido. It analyzes then the presence of pieces of the Mexican folk tradition in the written text.
