Music and statues: The orphic descent in "Prosas profanes" by Rubén Darío
Abstract
The order of the poems in Prosas profanas it’s allow to consider the reader's desire for initiation, which can be seen in the swan, but which is consolidated through other mythemas such as music and the statue. The book offers an orphic orientation whose culmination is the descent into the mythical world of "The colloquium of the Centaurs". The statue, for its part, symbol of beauty is finally identified with the poet and transformed.Downloads
