Vulnerability, poverty and exclusion. Problems with a great impact on the inhabitants of the Northeast of Argentina

Abstract

From a geographical viewpoint the main objective of his article is to present a diagnosis of the problems that affect the vulnerability, the poverty and exclusion of a very much held back region in the Argentine Republic. The main contributions are based on the one hand, in the discussion of factors and manifestations of social inequity and social impoverishment, and on the hand, in the proposal and orientations in mitigation policies for this region. To this end we have considered the Basic Unsatisfied Needs (NBI) of the areas involved, overcrowded households, poverty and indigence conditions, the housing and habitat problems, facilities, the characteristics of the economically active population as a vulnerable group and some side effects of education san sanitary safety.
