Abstract

La fable mystique, le dernier grand ouvrage publié en français par le jésuite Michel de Certeau, conserve dans sa construction les indices de sa propre matérialité. Il s'agit d'un vaste recueil dont la production chiffre l'éxegèse d'une spiritualité mystique tel que la Compagnie de Jésus l'a pratiqué depuis les années cinquante. Pourtant, de Certeau non seulement accomplit ce propos, mais aussi il articule la formation historique de cette pratique religieuse du XVIIe siècle à partir d'une discussion avec ses lectures anciennes.
