Pierre de Coubertin ecrivain
Abstract
The aim of this article is to study the lesser known literary dimension of Pierre de Coubertin, a genuine writer. Le roman d'un rallié (1902) and Ode au Sport (1912) are two of the most representative examples of his work, whose stylistic will and free creation are closely linked to his unceasing support of sport, olympism, history and pedagogy as noble and educational subjects. To this effect, the outcome of daily training reveals high quality writing and, all things considered, prose mastery.Downloads
