The Inscription of Solidarity in the Narrative Construction of L’Alphabet du silence by Delphine Minoui
Abstract
Delphine Minoui is a journalist and the author of books which have gradually evolved into literary writing. However, those fictions recall the pen of the reporter who cannot shed the discursive and stylistic modalities specific to journalism. The concern for testimony therefore occupies a central place in the life and work of this French author of Iranian origins who anchors her literary creations in the places where she has been living. However, for this writer, commitment and literary testimony, in the sense attributed by Gefen (2021), Havercroft et ali (2010) and Viart (2019, 2020), are related to another concept around which we will focus our analysis, solidarity. This particularity is especially remarkable in her latest novel, L'alphabet du silence (2023), her most fictional writings. Our study will focus on solidarity and the way it concerns particularly the characters of this novel.
