"Lupin", Examples of Adaptation and Rewriting of the Same Work
Abstract
This article analyses the way in which the stories of Maurice Leblanc's character Lupinhave been brought to the screen, taking as references, in addition to the literary work, two television examples from different periods : the 1970s series and the recent Netflix production from 2021. After presenting a theoretical framework in which a wide range of recent definitions are used, we will try to delimit the boundaries of adaptation and rewriting in order to subsequently analyze the details of each of the series according to the contexts of each period. This will allow us to see the different approaches to the same work by different authors, focusing on different centres of attention, and the effect, in the present day, of the re-use of classical works.
